Rules & Guidelines:

1. Competition is for children (Boys & Girls)between the ages of 4-12 and divided in the following 3 groups:

Group A. 4-6 yrs.
Group B. 7-9 yrs.
Group C. 10-12 yrs.

2. Each group will have an assigned surah each week that they must recite. If a different surah than the one assigned is submitted then that entry will be disqualified.

Group A (4-6 yrs old)
Week 1. Surah Fil (105)
Week 2.  Surah Quraish (106)
Week 3. Surah Masad (111)
Week 4. Surah Nasr (110)

Group B. (7-9 yrs old)
Week 1: Surah Duha (93)
Week 2: Surah Shams (91)
Week 3: Surah Takasur (102)
Week 4: Zalzala (99)

Group C. (10-12 yrs old)
Week 1: Surah Balad (90)
Week 2: Surah Infitar (82)
Week 3: Surah Lail (92)
Week 4: Surah Fajr (89)

3. Entries for each week should be submitted in audio format only anytime during the week.  The deadline for submission for each week is before Maghrib on the Friday of that week.

4. Participants will be judged on the following:

Makharij, Fluency, Tone/Rhythm and Tajweed Rules

5. The following information must be posted in text with the audio during submission:

-Participant’s name
-Participant’s Age
-Name of Surah being submitted
-Parent/Guardian’s Phone/Email

6. Please ensure that the audio is clear and free of any background distractions

7. Winners will be announced every Monday after Isha.

8. There will be one winner per age group each week. Participants can enter every week if they wish but if they win in their category they will not be eligible to enter again.
